Coach Jerem Stothers

 

Coach Stothers is a Bay Area native who was born is San Francisco and raised in Berkeley. For 20+ years, Jerem has been a huge part of the Bay Area lacrosse community as a player and coach. He played at Berkeley High and in 1999 was a top recruit for UC Berkeley after Cal won the 1998 MCLA National Championship. While at Berkeley, he was a huge part of the Golden Bear offense playing midfield, facing off and on the man up unit. He credits his coaching knowledge and style to Cal head coach Joe Proud, who was a Duke All-American defenseman.

 

After graduation, his old Berkeley High coach brought him on staff with a new Piedmont High program. Entering his 13th year at Piedmont, coach Stothers has built the program into a perennial powerhouse, reaching six consecutive NCS state playoffs including four straight final four appearances. From 2008 to present, he founded four travel teams; 510 Lacrosse, 925 Lacrosse, Bay Elite Lacrosse and ACES Lacrosse. Jerem has helped spread the game of lacrosse to thousands of Bay Area players, helping them reach their goals on the field while encouraging them to be the difference in our community. Jerem proud accepted the University of The Pacific job and is looking forward to helping Pacific student athletes grow in the game and in the classroom. Jerem currently resides in Berkeley with his husband of 14 years, Conor and two cats Teek and Monty. He is a die hard 49ers, A’s and Cal fan.
